We are leaving Stokes Bay and headed to Chantry Island.
We started our morning by cleaning the boat and getting the washdown system ready. We had anchored in mud and clay and the anchor and chain needed a good wash.
We left around 11am and got to sail the whole way!
As we were sailing Tara looked over the edge and realized that even in 30ft of water we could see straight to the bottom. The water in Lake Huron is clear and we are still amazed by it.
When we made it to South Hampton the anchorage was a bit tricky. It was in between two bits of land and the bottom was nothing but rock. But the weather was calling for no wind and no waves so we figured we would risk anchoring for the night.
We spent the night with the anchor alarm on and tried to get a good night sleep so we could set sail again in the morning.
