Leg 5 Bayfield, ON – Goderich, ON

While Bayfield was beautiful, they couldn’t accommodate us for the weekend so we headed up to Goderich.

Our route from Bayfield to Goderich

What should have been a 12nm trip turned into 20nm because the wind was coming head to and we had to tack all the way out and then all the way back in. We were pretty proud that we made it in one tack though. Britt got a little sea sick since the waves were so rough and we were beating a bit on the way out but we made it in one piece.

Goderich was a different marina with a less than ideal entrance.

Our new home in Goderich

We ended up staying in Goderich from August 25 – August 28 and we were able to fill our days. We visited the market on both Saturday and Sunday, went to giant tiger twice for groceries, visited a book store, a game store, got ice cream, had fish and chips at a great little stand and even got to make a new friend on our dock.
